The 1975

You’re alive, at least as far as I can tell you are.

I learned of the band after umpteen plays on 8tracks (an internet radio and social networking website revolving around the concept of streaming user-curated playlists consisting of at least 8 tracks). I would usually choose sad + indie and just drown myself with countless thoughts in my room. It’s funny though; how I’d choose sad but the songs actually make me happy inside.

The 1975 is an English indie rock band consisting of four members; Matthew Healy (vocals), Adam Hann (guitar), George Daniel (drums), and Ross MacDonald (bass guitar). The band has released 4 EPs in the past 2 years and has released a self-titled album just last year. It’s going to be another British invasion, I tell you.

According to them, their album is a mixture of everything. It’s the perfect soundtrack to your life – you may be happy, sad or angry and you can listen to them. That’s how diverse their music is. Until now, they’re amused whenever people would come up to them and say that their songs changed their lives. Even I can attest to that. I’ve been going through a lot when I first heard their music and they’ve helped me cope with the pain of reality; but that’s a different story.

Let’s just say that I’m really glad how I was in the right place when I listened to 8tracks that night. The level of rawness of Matty’s vocal chords is perfect. What’s even more amazing is how they are on-stage performing like it’s their last day. I’ve seen almost all their live performances on YouTube and I know I’ve completely fallen head over heels. Plus, their band has been together for ten years now so how they bond over music is astounding. I know I sound like a total fan girl now but I really am and I don’t think I can hide that anymore. You just have to go listen to it yourself so you know what I’m talking about.

And to top this all off? They’re coming to Manila to perform on the 28th and 29th plus a meet and greet on the 27th! So whether you’re already a fan or haven’t heard of these guys (obviously you have now), you should go and sing your heart out to their famous ‘Chocolate,’ ‘Girls’ or to my favorite, 'Robbers.' I know I will.

Dresses - Painting Roses MV

Less than two weeks before the semester ends which means I do what I do best -- procrastinating and multitasking. At the beginning of the semester, I always tell myself that I'd do everything on time but it doesn't happen at all. Anyway, I'm so happy that I discovered this new band that I'm obsessed with now. I've listened to all their songs and I love every single one of them. They're that good. Here's their latest music video to prove it.

Justin Bieber - As Long As You Love Me MV

Okay, I'm just speechless. The whole music video was just whoa and wow at the same time. Not the typical Justin Bieber music video. His MVs just keeps on getting better and better everytime. I can't describe the video well enough without sounding biased. Well one thing I'm sure of though, I have always been and will always be jealous of the lead girls in his music video.

SOTD: All I Want For Christmas Is You - Justin Bieber duet with Mariah Carey

First post for December -- just 'cause it's the holidays. Is it just me or does Mariah Carey look annoyingly ridiculous in the music video? I just think she's too old to do her thing. Justin Bieber just keeps on getting better and better and I'm not biased! Before you say something bad about the Biebs, you should watch Never Say Never first. And yes, I'll stop myself there. Anyway! I hope I can post more this December since I'll be having a lot of free time. I hope I don't get lazy or be really busy about irrelevant stuff. In the meantime, watch this MV and you be the judge!

SOTD: Mistletoe - Justin Bieber

His voice sounds sexy, I almost cried when I first heard it. I've always been a Bieber fan, and I'll definitely will be until his last song! ;__; I love youuuu!

TINACIE - Friday (Rebecca Black)

This was taped two weeks ago and I thought I just had to share this 'cause it's Friday. It's a first that I have a really long weekend and I don't have anything done yet. I still have to read the novel for my World Literature class and I haven't even started reading it. Emily Brontë, please help me read your novel. Wuthering Heights has really good reviews but I don't know why I haven't tried reading a page yet. Ugh, why am I so lazy.

TINACIE - Love Makes The World Go Round

Just because me and my best friend were really bored so we decided to come up with a music video showing our usual selves. All we had to do was act silly in front of the camera and voila! A really entertaining video. Well, at least it is for us! I hope you watch and if you like it, subscribe! Definitely more videos to come!

You're F**kin' Perfect

The MV was released two days ago and it just has 9, 000+ views and I think it should have more than that! The song and the video is really good and I believe that everyone should be aware of this. It's just sad to that there are a lot of disturbed teenagers nowadays that needs to be understood.

"Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel
Like you're less than f*ckin' perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you're nothing
You're f*ckin' perfect to me!"

We are all destined for greatness! Cheers! xx

Who Owns My Heart

As you may have heard, the teen star Miley Cyrus released her latest music video "Who Owns My Heart" which has been criticized for being too provocative. They are saying that it's too racy and inappropriate since she has fans all over the world whom are young girls.

Well if you ask me, it's not really that bad since everyone has the freedom to do anything (as long as it's legal, of course). Plus, this issue is not something new since Miley has been panned by everyone with almost everything she does. I mean, come on; give the girl a break! And what's wrong with Miley being the typical American teenage girl?!

If you haven't seen the music video, click away! You be the judge.
