Review: KLEANCOLOR's Sheer Lilac X Wet N Wild's Party Of Five Glitters

Inspired by Saab Magalona's post on ORLY Platinum and Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday. Of course I found an alternative and tried it for myself! I used two coats of Kleancolor's Sheer Lilac as my base and two coats of wet n wild's Party Of Five Glitter. But I really think you can put one coat of the base and 3 coats of the Party Of Five Glitter. Really happy of the outcome, I feel like such a girly girl! Can't wait to try on my other bottles :)

Engagement Dinner

I am lucky to be part of our student government in our school so I had the chance to have a dinner with the new Father President Primitivo Viray Jr. and the administrators with my other co-officers. Apparently, it's a yearly thing that the Father President and the administrators meet with the Supreme Student Government and have a dialogue with them. It was really nice to tell him our concerns and know that he understands.

Just 'cause he said that he looks extremely handsome here. Haha!

Blog Interview: Laureen Uy of Break My Style

1) What made you start a blog?

I wanted a visual diary, and it was a birthday gift for myself last year as well.

2) When you first started blogging, what kind of readers were you expecting? Do you think that everyone should consider this?

Of course I wanted people to visit my blog (I remember getting so kilig the first time I got 1,000 hits), but mostly it's really for myself- I can imagine myself looking back at my old photos anf seeing how much trends change/ evolve all the time.

3) What is your style when it comes to writing?

I write how I think/ speak.

4) Was it easy telling people how you feel through your page?

I really like uploading pictures more, so when you visit my blog, you'll definitely see more photos than words- and we all know that a picture speaks a thousand words.

5) Any advice you would like to give the people who are thinking of starting a blog?

Just always do it for yourself, not for anybody else. Also, you have to have passion in what you're doing.

6) Do you still see yourself blogging in 10 years?

Yes. I plan to blog forever. :)

7) One word that best describes your blog?

8) A message to The Purple Centipede?

Happy Anniversary to the Purple Centipede! More power and of course, more readers again this year for you! Just always have passion in what you're doing, and never get lazy to blog (haha).

Photo Diary: Father's Day 2011

Celebrated Father's Day and my Aunt's birthday with the whole family at the Stonehouse Gardens Resort. It was really cold when we got there and it sort of rained the whole time but it was really fun hanging out with the family. Plus, the view is really good! You can see Naga City from up there.

Happy Father's Day daddy! (:

Under Construction

No, I haven't neglected blogging. The thing is that The Purple Centipede is currently having it's renovation and it's still not yet done. Thanks to Clara of the Deep Fried Jupiter for pimping my blog :) It's not yet finished but it looks really good! Plus, I'm really focusing more on school since it just started and I'm really serious about finishing college soon.

On a totally unrelated note, my sister bought mom a camera so I guess I no longer have an excuse of not having good photos on my blog. Hihi.

Blog Interview: Seph and Shai of Love Chic

1) What made you start a blog?

Shai is a freelance fashion writer, stylist and producer, while Seph is a model, photography enthusiast and menswear designer, so we have a common love for fashion and taking pictures. The blog started when our photographer friend was moving to New York and needed shots for his portfolio. We did photoshoots which we styled, directed and modeled in, and thought they looked awesome. With the help of our friends, we made a Tumblr account to show off these photos and actually liked the idea of starting a fashion blog.

2) When you first started blogging, what kind of readers were you expecting?

Exactly the kind of readers we have--young people who love fashion and photography. And we are thankful for that.

3) What is your style when it comes to writing?

We have more photos than words on our blog, because we believe the photos themselves are already telling our stories.

4) Was it easy telling people how you feel through your page?

Yes, our posts are usually well-received.

5) What makes your blog different from any other blogs?

We'd like to think we're the first and only his-and-hers couple fashion blog in the country so far.

6) Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

Married with kids, running businesses related to fashion and arts.

7) Any advice you would like to give the people who are thinking of starting a blog?

Don't be obsessed with getting lots of followers or becoming popular. Your blog should be your means of expressing yourself. If you're blogging for other reasons, don't bother.
